Basic Life Support

Based on the 2016 Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR) Guidelines, this course  will provide you with the theoretical education in Basic Life Support.  The course is highly clinically relevant and aimed at Care Workers, Student or qualified Nurses and Midwives, rather than the general public. This course has been developed by IntelliLearn. 

This course will provide you with an understanding of:

  • ANZCOR 2016 Guidelines for Basic Life Support
  • DRSABCD acronym and how to implement it in clinical and Aged Care settings
  • Management of choking.

Target Audience

Any Health Professional who works in direct resident, client or patient care.

Estimated duration

1-2 hours depending on previous experience over a 6 month duration.  You gain 2 CPD hours (Continuing Professional Development) upon successful completion of the course.
